Richard Roberts Steps Down

TULSA, Okla. — Embattled Oral Roberts University president Richard Roberts was granted a temporary leave of absence Wednesday, amid accusations of lavish spending at donors' expense and illegal involvement in a local political campaign.

Once again, sex, money, and the abuse of power surrounds the powerful elite of Charismania. If Oral Roberts wasn't bad enough, Richard Roberts is continuing the fraudulent legacy of the Roberts dynasty. Recall that the charismatic sodomite, Ted Haggard, denied all allegations of sexual immorality, but then admitted without detail his improprieties. Lindsay Roberts, who is accused of have inappropriate relations with underage males, denies outright all charges of sexual misconduct, and Richard also holds that the upcoming investigation will prove him innocent and the board will restore him as president of ORU. We'll see.

When I originally covered the Haggard story on this blog, I received numerous emails from evangelical leaders and Christians condemning me for my lack of compassion. They believed true repentance and the process of extensive restoration would bring Mr. Haggard to wholeness, and my diatribes were only "dividing" the body of Christ. Three weeks after his counseling Mr. Haggard declared himself healed, delivered from homosexuality, and on his way with a hefty pension to begin a new life in Arizona.

Needless to say, I never heard a word again from any of my detractors. May they share in Haggard's judgment for standing so squarely against the Lord and His righteous justice.
