First they tried to sever his umbilical cord. Then they cut the mother's placenta in half so that the one baby's death would not affect the other twin. He weighed less than a pound, and the doctors predicted he'd never make it. To save the other twin, they tried to kill the sickly one. He wouldn't die. What could they do? They called him "Rocky."
